I have been experiencing some new symptoms. Sharp stabbing pain in my pelvis any time I sneeze that could last a few seconds to a few minutes, pelvic pressure for a day or two after intercourse, and pelvic pressure/pain a week before my period and after my period ends. I am really torn right now with trying the PT or going back on the Orilissa to help (I was previously on is from 2022-2024 and it helped). I did have a sonogram done and I am waiting to hear back my results.
Yes, it’s super helpful. Especially the internal massage of overly tense muscles and scar tissue. Gotta feel safe with that the practitioner as it’s intense work that could be triggering if you don’t feel safe.
Yes, I've had pelvic floor therapy several times throughout the years and it is definitely helpful. It helps strengthen the pelvic muscles, your bladder, abdominal, etc.. Based on your symptoms it sounds like you maybe dealing with a cyst on your ovary. Hopefully, you will get some more clarity when you receive your test results back.
I wish you all the best!
Has pelvic floor physical therapy helped with endometriosis pain?
Yes, many have found pelvic floor PT helpful for endometriosis pain. Physical therapy can improve pelvic floor muscle function, including relaxation, coordination, and strength, which may help reduce pain.
