I had my first laparoscopy (ablation) on Friday, and I am still very tired. I do have three kids, so I only rested for two days before getting back into mom mode, so I’m sure that’s not helping!
I took two weeks off from work. When I returned to work, I wore out fast. I even used the elevator because it was less energy. I'd say it was probably three months before I would consider myself back to "fairly normal."
They'll tell you 2 to 3 days before you can go back to work. Quality of surgeon makes a difference as well. Took me 1 to 3 weeks to move without pain. 6 to 8 weeks to feel normal. Getting back to life helps with recovering faster (speaking from experience and from what doctors told me).
