And how do you cope with it?
I actually quit my job. I was overworked and got very sick and just couldnt get better. So I left. I am doing freelance work from home which I also battle with since Im always so tired. Now it is coping with keeping the house clean because I have a touch OCD and finding time to finish tasks for work and managing all this in the less painful moments. So I cope by doing as much as I can when Im up on my feet.
Hi nice to meet you. I'm new here.
By being honest with myself first, my feelings and know my limits, triggers and what I'm willing to either accept or give up.
I've coped for 8 years mainly keeping to busy to think about my pain, but since last spring the pain levels have overwhelmed me. Some days I have to go home "sick" and I often have to stop mid-project to do meditation and breath work strategies (which only work before the pain gets above 7)
My Endo got the better of me and as advised by my doctor, I resigned in July 2022.
My job was stressful, being yelled at by customers ... whore, slut other unmanageable words ... all because other teams would not give them a loan ... whether it be personal or home. Two days into my job while I was on the phones, I got a call from a guy who wanted to know how long money goes from one bank to another. I gave him the answer, about a minute in, I heard a loud bang and then garbled sounds. The guy had been shot in the head while on the phone to me and I was hearing his last breaths. Gang related.
Joys of working as a CSR for a bank!!!
