Has Laparoscopic Endo Surgery Improved Your Chronic Fatigue?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have had debilitating chronic fatigue for 3.5 years. We have explored multiple avenues of my health through various physicians to get answers, with little success. I have been diagnosed with Endo (after gallbladder removal). However, we have not explored it more. I am hoping that getting laparoscopic endo surgery could help improve/eliminate my chronic fatigue.

Also wondering this question.
Have you gotten your blood work done recently or tested hormones? I recently saw a naturopath and she discovered that my iron, ferritin, and vitamin D were specifically low; as well as finding out my insulin was pretty high. I have no idea how my primary care doctors never tested for iron, but usually that’s a huge telling sign of chronic fatigue (I also suffered worse chronic fatigue from having long Covid, so maybe that could also contribute?)
I am now on supplements hoping I can get my life back, but my inflammation is just as bad as my fatigue. I was once ‘diagnosed’ with fibromyalgia as well by process of elimination. Everything else came back negative for autoimmune diseases and they just suspected I had it since my symptoms fit the disease. I’m finding it harder to know what’s going on with my body because endo has so many symptoms that can fit different issues. If you haven’t, maybe research naturopaths or homeopathic doctors that could offer a different perspective maybe. I had to wait awhile to save up to see one but it was totally worth it and I trust her judgement more than my other doctors.
With all this being said, though, I’m in the same boat of contemplating surgery. I know endo just keeps growing back so no idea what the pain relief timeline looks like either since every body is different.
Following this thread for others input, thanks for posting the question and best of luck xx
