What Does It Mean If Ovarian Endometriosis Doesn't Shrink?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I did a ultrasound today and it's the same size, despite medicating for 3 months, I'm scared, I'm supposed to see the ob-gyn tomorrow, and I don't know guys.
Is this where I get surgery?
I was so optimistic it'd have shrunk in size but 💔😭☹ī¸

Was it a chocolate cyst? And what med are you taking? For me, the cyst is small (2x2 cm iirc) so doc told me to get a scan after 3 months on visanne. And if it doesn't shrink but atleast doesn't get bigger during this time, I believe we'll continue for 3 more months and the scan again. (One more month to go for me.)

So even if your cyst hasn't shrunk, if it hasn't gotten bigger, you may wanna discuss continuing the med for a few more months.

In any case, pls don't worry too much and discuss the prognosis and your fears of surgery, etc. with your doc. Good luck! 💙
