I have been diagnosed with endo in 2018 (I had it for longer than that, just took a lifetime to get diagnosed). The first step was to be put on birth control, which my first was Zoely. and asbolute nightmare. Mood swings, depression, lots of issues. Got a laparoscopy last year in June, and was hoping to get off the pill, but doc said no, unless I want a baby. So I started Visanne in November, and since then I have gained a lot of weight, I am always bloated (I look pregnant sometimes), my breast… read more
I've been taking it for over a year now, mood swings at first but now I have adjusted to it. No issues with weight gain instead I asked my Gynaecologist to stop me on the contraceptive (just forgot the name) I was using it together with the Visanne which caused extreme bleeding for close to 2 months. No issues with abdominal pain and I don't get bloated. Just have issues with nausea, insomnia, body aches and I always feel tired but I'm taking sea moss gel, something for nausea (but not every day and my meals have been reduced to x2 a day) slow magnesium tablets and osteoeze alkaline powder.
I have been on it for just under 5 months now. I went through about 3 weeks where my breasts were exceptionally sore (even putting a bra on hurt). I have bloating some days, on and off, but it’s not as bad as the severe bloating I had before I was put on Visanne (I looked like I was 6 months pregnant, couldn’t even wear a pair of jeans!). I find some days that I’m exceptionally moody and feel more aggressive towards certain things, I also can’t seem to lose weight no matter how much I exercise. Overall my symptoms have gotten better but some days it feels like I’m on a rollercoaster.
I’ve only recently been diagnosed with endo inside my bladder and they put me on Visanne 3 weeks ago, I haven’t had any major symptoms just yet, but I’ve been bleeding for over 10 days now, which I hope will go away as my body adjusts! I’ve heard that it’s important to take supplements alongside, like NAC and others to help with energy levels and reducing inflammation. I took NAC for 2 days and felt extremely dizzy, looks like it won’t be the saviour for me but it has helped many women with endo!
