5 Week Post Op Pain After Hysterectomy And Excision Surgery
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

So I’m 5 weeks post op and I’ve been doing okay. However the past few days I’ve been experiencing a lot of pain low down where my womb should be. It’s sharp and achy especially when walking. I’ve also been waking up in a lot of pain.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is it something to be worried about or just part of the recovery process?

It's been 7 weeks for me. Still lots of pain. Hope it gets better soon for us both.

Yes! Totally! I have a lot of problems since my hysterectomy. Fortunately, that one did go away. It did take a couple years, but it finally felt like the womb wound healed. On the other hand, I have other unexplained types of pain cropping up and not sure why. Every now and then, I'll still get that kind of pain, but it's small potatoes compared to the other shit. I hope yours goes away eventually too. Mine took waay longer to heal than docs predicted and they have no idea why either.

It’s the little things that I just assume I can do then realise I cannot. Like lifting shopping or going on a hood walk. I’ll get there though.
I need to keep an eye on this pain and try to have more downtime.
