Has Anyone Tried Spinal Cord Stimulator?
My pain Dr has successfully treated endo patients with a spinal cord stimulator implant and I am considering trying it this summer. I’d love to hear from anyone about their experience with this!
Have you tried a portable Tens unit first? Like the kind that chiropractors use? My docs wanted to go that route and I started talking to other people who've actually had it done and every single one of them said 1) Try the tens unit. If it doesn't give you a massive amount of relief, don't get the spinal cord stimulator surgery and 2) it'll feel like you have a permanent and metal double stuffed oreo cookie lodged in your back and you will NEVER be able to sleep on your back ever again, not even for a minute. It's really a last ditch effort for pain relief. The surgery is also scary. I looked it up and they run wires the whole way up your spine from your lower back up. Not telling you not to get the spinal stimulator surgery, just words of warning to research thoroughly yourself before you commit. Docs will suggest all sorts of things that they don't always think through completely. Good luck either way! I hope you find something that works! 🤗❤️
