Did Prostap Work For You?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm having my 5th injection tomorrow and I've detested everyone. The NHS is horrendous at the moment with lack of communication. The prostap injection makes my pelvic pain unbelievably painful to the point I can barely walk, I get endo belly, horrendous gas/wind and nauseas. I've been waiting for an (urgent) appointment to see my gynaecologist since April.

I'd honestly come off it if I was you! They put me on the depo injection promising me that it would reduce growth that's already there - all it did was make me bleed extremely heavily for months on end and cause me awful pain in my bones. Apparently, anybody who is not an endo specialist in the UK is only required to take a 30 minute lesson on it, they just don't know what they're talking about. Always second guess them if they're not a specialist in endo, even gyno's don't really know about endometriosis to the extent they should :(

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member Neither did I :( I wasted years seeing doctors that weren’t specialists and weren’t helping me, Could you request a referral via your gp to see one? X

Thank you for your reply. I never knew that, although it makes sense now considering when I did see gynaecologists last year they just said it was muscular pain and to take morphine. I only got diagnosed with endometriosis by paying privately. I've had nothing but severe stomach cramps this month and still losing weight. ( lost a stone an half in just under 2 months). I seem to be more and more intolerant to things lately.
