It took me almost 3 months. First periods were normal the way they use to be but they lasted longer. Like some pinkish brownish discharge for the next 10 days. Second periods were like just for a day but again almost 10 12 days of discharge, 3rd one was just the discharge for 2 to 3 days. And 4th was discharge for a day.

Hi, I took a Dienogest prescription (different brand name) for four months and did have my period and breakthrough bleeding while I was taking it. However, I stopped because of a few side effects, and my next period was about 50 days after I last took the meds.
