I have had endo diagnosed via lap in 2016. I am on continuous bc meaning my pain has been manageable however I do have what I call flare ups from time to time. Ussually affects my bowels....and I ussually have a bout or 2 of diarrhea and cramping ussually subsides with ice and menefamic acid. I was recently told that flares shouldn't be happening if I am on bc. Does anyone still experience flares on continuous birth control?
I have been on meds for endo (so like period blocking) for over a year and I get flare ups all the time. Depending on what dose of meds I am on and what they are, it is so possible. Nothing is a perfect treatment. I am so sorry and you are supported and loved!
Yes, I have had flare ups even with birth control but it wasn’t as severe or as often. I would still get diarrhea and sometimes constipation during a cycle, but they wouldn’t be as bad as I remember when I wasn’t on bc.
