High Platelet Count, Anyone? I’ve Been Seeing A Hematologist/oncologist For A High Platelet Count Since 2022.
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I still don’t have a definitive answer, but she thinks it may be my marker for inflammation caused by endometriosis.

The other thing she had been looking at was JAK2 mutation. But decided against testing. My numbers are high, but not high enough?

All my other doctors seem to disagree with the high platelets being an indicator of endometriosis.

I’ll be released from her care this summer more than likely. I a little anxious about it.

Yes, I can echo all those sentiments!!

However, I’ll be sticking with my doctor til they give me the all clear. While blood cancer and clotting disorders such as those are incurable they are very treatable. 😉

It is all about balance, research and seeking answers in attempts to empower yourself is one thing. That’s all I’m trying to do, learn about my body, so I can do everything in my power to feel my best.

This is why I haven’t dug into much research about JAK2. If we confirm, then yes, I’d read all the literature I could get my hands on.

Also why I was curious if anyone else in the group experienced with endometriosis had elevated platelets.

I was able to find one other person, seeking the same thing. Unfortunately, her last post was 2019 and she never followed up about the high platelets.

Call me foolish or niave, maybe you subscribe to the same way of thinking. But I’m not convinced that I can’t achieve a remission or reversal of sorts.
Hell, I was almost there til the beginning of 24.

I’ve had some pretty great results and for a little stent there had a significant drop in platelets. Feel like I’m backsliding, and my last labs aren’t good, but that’s why I’m diligently tracking to learn my triggers.

I agree, the less we go to the doctor, the better…: while its good to do our own research, its requires a lot of strength and positive attitude. Or else, we will be defeated by anxiety. So these days, i have stopped my research and just go on with original plan, to change my diet and my lifestyle.::: . Pray pray pray, if you believe in the higher being. Make a gratitude journal and im listing down the food i eat as well,

Haha, that is so true!

Or dispute something another doctor confirmed, adding to the confusion and anxiety.
