Hi, sorry in advance for the long story. I have not been diagnosed with endometriosis as I have been tested all year for other things as I was constantly bloated and had stomach issues. I am only 17 but I got my period when I was 11, since then I've had really painful, usually heavy periods and they started iregular but became regular with accupunture. However I get a sharp pain in my lower right abdomen, I have been sent to the hospital thinking it was an apendicitist but wasn't, and got told it may… read more
What natural remedies have you tried for Endo and how successful were they? (Ie acupuncture, herbs, diet etc) I tried edible Cbc only marajauna and it didn't do anything for me. I don't want to be high which is why I opted for cbc only. Looking into acupuncture now and diet etc. but not sure if it is worth it...
I'm going for my first laparoscopy in 3 weeks and I am sooo nervous as if pain isn't bad right now what's it going to be like getting my tummy cut open??!! I have fear of the unknown because in various scans the gynae said he can't see my ovaries so is wondering whats going on there to. Im terrified of waking up and the doc saying something horrific like we had to remove everythin or something!! Can anyone explain the procdure eg.pain afterwards, What it's like waking up, how long until you can… read more
I was just diagnosed a month ago and my gyno is still in the "wait and see" stage of treatment. She wants me to go on birth control but I've been on it in the past and suffered from depression and severe acne because of it. Are there other ways to manage pain (diet, exercise, acupuncture, etc.) that you would recommend?
When the pain is really bad, it seems to travel up to my face. My acupuncturist thinks that it is TMD due to the stress of my body being in pain for so long. Does anyone else have unusual gripping patterns on one side of their body? I know my pelvic floor is constantly in spasm, but when it gets worse I can feel it travel into my upper abdomen, my hands, my abductor, and my face. My right eye feels dryer and heavier than the left. The facial pain stems from… read more
My doctor is encouraging me to try the Lupron treatment for 6-12 months. I'm terrified of the potential side effects. Looking for reasons/stories to compel me to try it.
My acupuncturist explained to me that inflammation and problems with digestive could be the cause of this back pain. I have done everything from x-ray to MRI; they are normal. My management to the pain is massage; acupuncture yoga and castor oil pad. it never goes away? Perhaps someone has a more effective way of managing that pain?
My Obgyn has only prescribed pain pills- Vicodin and Percocet for my pelvic pains. I'm thinking about alternative medicine. I've heard Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) can help with my Endometriosis and Adenomyosis. But I haven't heard any stories specifically linked with endo or adeno.
I'm trying it now and writing a blog with updates if that helps :) https://medium.com/@endingendo214?source=linkSh... (Phone number can… read more
Hello, I am 41 years old and was recently surgically diagnosed with moderate (stage 3) endometriosis on June 21. Adhesions were removed along with two ovarian cysts (not PCOS). I have my follow up appointment tomorrow (June 25) and would like to try and discuss any holistic remedies out there in lieu of birth control pills or an IUD.
Hello all, I’m new to this website. I’m 99.9% sure I have endometriosis. I started my period at 8 years old, which is very early. I’ve always had really bad period from throwing up, diarrhea, extremely cramping, back pain, trouble using the restroom when I’m on my period. However, somehow I was able to manage it. Now it’s getting out of control I can’t walk without feeling sharp pains, I refuse to use the restroom because of the pain. My period has been done for a few days and I… read more
