I had the mirena inserted due to continuos bleeding over a four month period and I haven't experienced pain like this before. My only symptom was the bleeding. I've had the Mirena for a month now and have been prescribed birth control for the progesterone. My parents don't want me taking any painkillers due to the opioid crisis. Yes, I know that's in America, but they watch a lot of TV. They didn't even want to pay to have it removed, so I emailed my gynae and she offered to do it pro bono. What… read more
I asked for lupron depot injection
I was finally diagnosed with endometriosis 2 weeks ago after years of symptoms I figured were normal. The doctor removed what she could. I've had no pain for 2 weeks until this morning. At my post op appointment today my doctor said she wants to do the depo lupron shots to try to stop the endometriosis from cominh back. I'm seriously skeptical about this course of treatment. Has anyone gone this route and had success?
I did it for like a year and loved how I wasn't in pain. However, I wasn't prepared for the hot flashes and hormones that came crashing through my body. But overall, it did very well with me compared… read more
I’ve been on it for 2 years now and I remember it taking two or three shots before the bleeding slowed. I still spot pretty often but nothing like before
I'm supposed to start medical treatment on the first day of my next cycle (11 days from now). Initially I thought of starting with Visanne but not sure anymore cos of the cost and the need to use it same time daily as opposed to Depo-Provera which stays for 3months (but thinking of getting it for 1 month to see if there are adverse effects or not).
Any suggestions ladies??
I think it is a personal option. I chose Visanne as I was not comfortable with the idea of the shot, but again that is personal.

If Depo is used for treatment of endo, is it possible for someone to have it and it not be noticeable even when a doctor is removing an ovary and fallopian tube, even when a biopsy is done?
Hello🦋 yesterday I saw my gynecologist and she decided to switch my pill to Provera because I’ve been experiencing a lot of lower abdominal pain. If you’ve used Provera what was your experience with it?
Thank you!
I just started mini pill for same reason, if it doesn't ease my pain Depo Prevera is next. Hang in there.
Is there a pill form of this drug?
"Medroxyprogesterone Oral"
What are some of your experiences coming of depo? Should I be prepared to go on yet another ride? Lol
