What has everyone's experiences been with Lo Loestrin?

What has everyone's experiences been with Lo Loestrin?

Hi Everyone, I am new here. I found out I had endometriosis when they ran a test during my fibroid removal surgery in March. My OBGYN suggested Lo Loestrin because before my period I get really bad fatigue which makes working difficult. I also have super heavy periods and I always have to be near a bathroom which also makes working difficult.

I have never been on birth control before so before I fill the prescription, I was wondering what everyone's… read more

Has anyone had a good experience with Lo Loestrin Fe? That is, did it get better after the first 3-6 months?

Has anyone had a good experience with Lo Loestrin Fe? That is, did it get better after the first 3-6 months?

I had a terrible experience with Sprintec and switched to lo loestrin fe and it has been better but I'm still having fairly bad side effects and am trying to look at all my options.

I was on this. It barely helped my Endo pain. I also discovered this made me nauseous. This was my first and only bc I've ever been on so I am skewed.

Has anyone else taken Lo Loestrin Fe and experienced menopause like symptoms and absence of periods?

I have been on Lo Loestrin Fe since March. First 3 months my period was crazy, but the last 3 months I haven't had a period at all. I can't be pregnant for my Fallopian tubes have been removed.

Is it bad to take estrogen birth control?

Is it bad to take estrogen birth control?

In order to stop a period that went on for over a month my dr put me on a double does of lo loestrin fe. Which contains estrogen. Won't this make my endometriosis worse?

Is it safe to get a massage or facial while taking lo loestrin fe? (Or birth control pills)

Is it safe to get a massage or facial while taking lo loestrin fe? (Or birth control pills)

I recently read online because a massage increases blood flow it is not safe while taking birth control pills because of the possibility of dislodging a blood clot. I would also like to know if a facial is ok. Any insight?

Heating pad

Heating pad

I've used an electric and microwave heating pad extensively to deal with endometriosis pain in my low back. Now the skin in that area is darker and blotchy. Is this something to be concerned about?

Hi ladies,
I'm looking for a good heating pad that's electric (or battery operated) and I can unplug and it be hot for a long time, that velcros around my waist. Any suggestions?
I have an awesome hot water bottle but it's not really practical to walk around with it on.
Thanks in advance !

ThermaCare heat wraps come in two different sizes and last for up to 16 hours. You can get them at cvs or walgreens, but they are cheapest at Walmart.

Recurring Yeast Infections ???

Recurring Yeast Infections ???

I was diagnosed in August by laproscopy. I've had symptoms since I had my first period. My OBGYN started me on Lo Loestrin in May to hopefully treat my endo.

Something strange I've noticed is that I'm super sensitive to getting yeast infections now? I had a few a year anyway but it seems I get them all the time now and it's gross and uncomfortable.

Anyone experience this? Is it endo or the treatment? Natural remedies?

You ladies rock! I found a probiotic ginger tea (ginger also helps with nausea and pain) that I'm going to try out!

Any recommendations for hormonal contraceptives?

Any recommendations for hormonal contraceptives?

My doctor informed me that I have to change from being on a high-dose BC pill to either a low dose one or a progestin-only pill. I am not so much concerned about pain and bleeding, I just want a pill to quiet things down and lessen the chances of the lesions growing back after laparoscopic surgery. Does anyone have any success with mini pills? Combined, low-dose pills like Lo Loestrin Fe? It’s just a struggle for me because I am worried about weight gain and my… read more

My understanding is that oestrogen pills increase endo whereas progesterone decreases endo. My symptoms certainly mirror this when I take meds.

Any suggestions for medications with minimal side effects for post-surgery, stage 4 endo?

Any suggestions for medications with minimal side effects for post-surgery, stage 4 endo?

I recently had surgery to remove a large endometrioma cyst, ovary and tube. The surgeon also removed (via lap excision) endo throughout pelvic region and an attachment to bowel. Doctor is suggesting aggressive treatment to prevent it from coming back. He suggested Lupron and Letrozole, which I refused due to side effects. Mirena IUD also an option but I really don't want an IUD.

We settled on lo lo estrin, but want to do… read more
