SIBO and endometriosis

SIBO and endometriosis

Hi all,

I just got test results back that I’m positive for SIBO and my doctor said the levels are some of the highest she’s ever seen. I’m going to try the herbal and diet treatment before antibiotics. Has anyone else experienced this condition? I’ve read that endo can be a causal factor for SIBO.

Thanks!
R

Unilateral vs. Bilateral Oophorectomy

Unilateral vs. Bilateral Oophorectomy

Has anyone out there had either a unilateral or bilateral oophorectomy in conjunction with excision/ablation, possibly in their mid to late 30s or early 40s? Have you been happy with your results? Have you had symptoms return? In October of 2016, I had an excision/ablation surgery, felt great for 5 months, and then my symptoms returned. Currently I’ve been on Lupron for almost 2 years and actually do really well, except for the surges towards the end of one shot and then… read more

Unsuccessful Surgery

Unsuccessful Surgery

I've been in chronic pain for 1 year and 10 months. It started on the left side of my pelvis and had spread to sometimes include my chest. I have had pain during and after sex; painful bowel movements and gas; pain in my back, hips, legs, and ribs; and before I was on my previous hormone treatment, had shortness of breath and felt like there was a band around my rib cage. Met with my GYN for post op appointment yesterday, and she said she didn't find any endometriosis. Before surgery, she… read more

Has anyone else dealt with abdominal wall endometriosis?

Has anyone else dealt with abdominal wall endometriosis?

I have had it for a few years now and it has really gotten bad the last few months. I'm wondering if it is more internal than doctors originally thought. Struggling to find a treatment that actually helps. I've been on a couple iuds and a couple birth control pills but nothing has really helped. Currently on loloestrin.

Struggling to find the right treatment

Struggling to find the right treatment

Hello everyone!
I'm new to this site and happy to be able to hear everyone's stories. I was diagnosed based on symptoms for Endometriosis about ten years ago. I've been on Norethindrone for 7 years and for the most part have had good luck. I have a hard time losing weight with it but no other prominent side effects. The only issue is breakthrough bleeding/periods. It used to occur only if I didn't take the pill at the EXACT same time each day (which is so hard to remember)… read more

Could my pain be endometriosis? I’m 20 yrs old, I’d never heard of it until recently, but I now suspect I have it..

Since my first period, they’ve always been extremely heavy, lasting ~10-12 days. I remember having crippling pain just before and throughout the entirety of my period that would often have me curled up in bed or the bathroom floor, I even fainted in school a couple of times trying to tough it out. A heating pad and 4 ibuprofen every 4-6 hrs were the only things that helped manage my pain but never… read more

sacroiliac joint and endometriosis

sacroiliac joint and endometriosis

Does anyone suffer with sacroiliac joint pain and endometriosis?

I've had laparoscopy surgery 3 weeks ago and by hip/buttocks/lower back is still very sore. Im wondering now is it something else linked to endometriosis or should I relax and take it as I'm still recovering..

Just had a lap, and no endo?

Just had a lap, and no endo?

I've been experiencing severe pelvic pain since I was about 9 (for 12 years now), to the point I collapse and have fainted a few times. Endometriosis runs on both sides of my family but I've always been dismissed by doctors. In September I finally had enough after getting into a car accident because the pain hit suddenly and caused my swerve into oncoming traffic. I found a new doctor, and the first appointment he said it sounds like endo. Ultrasounds, endoscopy and colonoscopy all… read more
