Does anyone ever feel like their good days make their bad days seem less valid?

Does anyone ever feel like their good days make their bad days seem less valid?

Sorry for being a downer here lol, but sometimes I feel like when I have good days I ruin it by spiraling into thoughts like “there’s no way I actually experience as much pain as other women” or “Im just over exaggerating” or get anxious and think “what if I’m just placeboing myself”. It’s like just because I have a couple good days every now and then, I feel like my problems aren’t valid.

I’m curious if anyone has a retroverted uterus?

I’m curious if anyone has a retroverted uterus?

Hi, I’m new to this! I’m looking for a bit of advice. I’ve never formally diagnosed with Endo. However, I suspect there is a possibility that I have it. My mother has it, and I have a lot of the typical Endo symptoms. When i first started my period, it was a monster, complete with a full on 7 day heavy bleeding, irregular, vomiting mess. Lots of cramping, lower back pain and cloudy urine. I’ve spent the last 10 years on birth control pills, but recently 6 months ago… read more

Could my pain be endometriosis? I’m 20 yrs old, I’d never heard of it until recently, but I now suspect I have it..

Since my first period, they’ve always been extremely heavy, lasting ~10-12 days. I remember having crippling pain just before and throughout the entirety of my period that would often have me curled up in bed or the bathroom floor, I even fainted in school a couple of times trying to tough it out. A heating pad and 4 ibuprofen every 4-6 hrs were the only things that helped manage my pain but never… read more

Partner/Family Support.. or lack there of?

Partner/Family Support.. or lack there of?

I’m almost not even sure how to start this & it’s very long.

I’ve been married to my new husband for two months, after dating for about a year. He was with me through my last endo surgery (two endometriomas which led to my left tube/ovary being removed). At the time, they weren’t 100% sure what they’d find and/or if there was cancer. He kept pushing for a full hysterectomy (I’m 37 and have 4 kids, he does not want kids). His thinking is to get everything out… read more

Who has vertigo and endometriosis?

Who has vertigo and endometriosis?

I had deep excision surgery in 2016 to remove endometriosis. In Feb. 2017, I get the stomach bug and all my issues started from there. I've put on 30 lbs where staff and gyn. says I will never get rid of endo belly. Im having a hard time doing normal things because of my belly and I have pelvic pain and leg pain. I got diagnosed with vertigo and had 2 epley maneuvers to treat but left me with neck pain and pain in arms is worse because I developed arthritis in neck. I also have… read more

Does anyone else have symptoms that are not “common”?

Does anyone else have symptoms that are not “common”?

I always see that common symptoms are painful, heavy, and/or long periods, but I have very light and short periods, and my periods aren’t crampy (other than terrible lower back pain), but I often have pain and constipation a few days after ovulation. I have a laparoscopy scheduled for Thursday, so I just wondered if anyone else experienced similar symptoms.

The UNSPOKEN truth behind ENDO.. Opiates.

The UNSPOKEN truth behind ENDO.. Opiates.

So many of us deal with pain that would debilitate our lives, if we weren't able to sustain ourselves with some sort of medication to tackle the flair up. But what works the best?

Most of my doctors have put me on Tramadol first and Oxycodone when I explain how Tramadol doesn't do much for my pain. As well as nerve blockers and NSAIDS (Which I limit always to, when needed). HOWEVER, society has a different view on pain medication and I'm wondering if this has made… read more

Lupron Depot treatment following Laparoscopic treatment for Endometrosis

Lupron Depot treatment following Laparoscopic treatment for Endometrosis

A little over a month ago, I underwent laparoscopic surgery to remove a cyst the size of a grapefruit from my left ovary. During that surgery, I was definitively diagnosed with severe endometrosis, and my doctor removed a number of endometriotic lesions.

--Background--
Prior to having this surgery, I was having severe pain when I ovulated. Excruciating pain that lasted hours, sometimes days, which affected my ability to attend work. My… read more

Weird new symptoms—anyone else have this?

Weird new symptoms—anyone else have this?

Hey folks I’ve recently started getting even worse swelling in my lower abdomen than usual and also my hips that seems to be radiating down my legs. My left pelvic area swells up a lot all throughout the month which is normal but I’ve recently started getting shoulder pain in both shoulder blades and feeling like my shoulders aren’t staying in place if that makes sense? Also having way more reflux nausea and vomiting than usual and pain and pressure in upper left abdomen… read more

Sex Life and Physical Relationship

Sex Life and Physical Relationship

I can count on one hand the times that me and my boyfriend have had sex in the last year- sad I know.
I just had excision surgery back in May and of course I'm terrified of getting back on the horse... seemed like an appropriate analogy. We have tried once since my surgery after waiting long enough and it still hurt but at the time I wasn't on any type of birth control so we had to use a condom and my fun parts have never agreed with most types. I'm thinking that was the main… read more
