Has anyone else had cysts since having the merina? I haven’t had any before but since having the merina have had to have one removed that was grapefruit sized- I’ve read on another page about the 2 being linked.....thoughts?

I Have The Most Severe Pain At Night To The Point I Can't Sleep And Nothing Helps. Is This Common?

I Have The Most Severe Pain At Night To The Point I Can't Sleep And Nothing Helps. Is This Common?

I was recently taken off the depo shot 6 months ago and put on a birth control that you take blue pills 3 months straight and the sugar pills for one week at the end of the cycle. Not sure if I should go back to the doctor and discuss different treatment or not because last time I went, my doctor told me surgery would be the other option. I am trying not to go that route, but the pain gets almost unbearable.

Surgery And IUD

Surgery And IUD

I am having surgery to remove the scar tissue and while I am asleep, they want to put an IUD in as well. I am super nervous about the IUD and want to know if there are side effects, and if the IUD is a good route to go.

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member said:

I also have a Mirena IUD and get horrible endo flare ups from it. I feel it is making flare ups worse. I am going to be getting mirena taken out soon and trying a different method for birth control.

Mirena Use Regrowth Suppression

Mirena Use Regrowth Suppression

Hello
I had excision two years ago, trialled various versions of the combined pill unsuccessfully and have managed pain for a year via changes in diet, physiotherapy and accupunture. I am in a good place with my pain management finally after may years of struggle. My specialist has recommended the Mirena as a long term solution for endo regrowth. However, my research reveals evidence for this is inconclusive. I trust my specialist but worry about the Mirena's effectiveness (she mentioned Skyla… read more

Has Anyone Tried Mirena And Not Felt Any Relief? It's Been A Few Months And I Don't Think It's Working For Me.

Has Anyone Tried Mirena And Not Felt Any Relief? It's Been A Few Months And I Don't Think It's Working For Me.

Has anyone tried Mirena and not felt any relief? It's been a few months and I feel very little, if any, relief and my loss of appetite and nausea is spiraling out on top of the pain! I recently had a baby (in January) so not sure if it's all dramatically worse from that or if the Mirena is really just not working for me?

Does Mirena Work

Does Mirena Work

Hi just wondering if anyone as had endo grow back whilst using mirena?
I'm new to endo although i would of had it for years as always had sympto ms I only got diagnosed March last year.
I had endo stage 4 removed November last year. I had mirena put in to help with pain periods and to stop it growing back. 10th month later I've started with dull aches very bloated tummy on flair up days all same symptoms. Except no period only spotting due to mirena.

I liked my mirena although I had some scans and was aware that it hadn't helped reduce the cyst on my ovary.

Is It Okay To Take Visanne While You Have The Mirena IUD?

Is It Okay To Take Visanne While You Have The Mirena IUD?

Hi Ladies. PLEASE HELP! I recently moved to South Korea (from America) and went to a specialist for the first time today. He recommended I start taking Visanne. I really didn't want to take any new meds, as I already have tried Lupron, Femara (usually used for breast cancer), just norethindrone, and some other bc pills.I already had 2 excision surgeries. I also currently have the Mirena IUD. I don't want to try a new treatment but he kept telling me how great and wonderful Visanne is. I am so… read more

Has Anyone Found Relief From Having Their Mirena Coil Removed?

I am due to have my Mirena Coil removed on the next Monday coming, and was wondering if anyone had found they had symptom relief from having it removed? Or did it make things worse? My thought is that if I have it removed and I become hormone free will it stop my pains getting worse etc...

Kyleena Vs Mirena? Kyleena After A Laproscopy

Kyleena Vs Mirena? Kyleena After A Laproscopy

Has anyone used Kyleena after a laproscopy? My doctor recommended hormonal treatment after surgery that I'm having soon. I've never used hormonal birth control and I've read some scary stuff about it in terms of side effects and such. Has anyone used Kyleena after laproscopy to treat endo? I’ve seen that kyleena is pretty similar to Mirena but doesn’t treat heavy bleeding? My GP is confused by this but my gyno said it’s better for me because I’m younger (20) but I experience an extremely heavy… read more
