How Do You Manage Your Endometriosis Pain?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have doctors that keep wanting to prescribe me muscle relaxers and ibuprofen and it’s honestly insulting. IDK what to ask for, but I know it has to be something stronger than Advil and Aleve out there. I’m in unbearable pain every month it affects work, hobbies, etc. I just want a quality of life that doesn’t involve being in pain all the time.

Has Anybody Been Diagnosed With Sciatic Endometriosis? If So How Long Did It Take For You To Get It Diagnosed/removed?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’ve had chronic back pain for 5+ years now, it’s localized to one point in my back but radiates to my hips, and down my left leg. 2 years ago I lost my ability to walk for 48+hrs and was in the most unbearable pain. Doctors prescribed morphine pills that didn’t do anything. Naproxen doesn’t work, muscle relaxers don’t work either, I’ve tried physio, heat, ice, massage and nothing relieves the constant daily pain. I have an MRI scheduled for tomorrow and am curious if it’s possible for lesions… read more

Did Prostap Work For You?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm having my 5th injection tomorrow and I've detested everyone. The NHS is horrendous at the moment with lack of communication. The prostap injection makes my pelvic pain unbelievably painful to the point I can barely walk, I get endo belly, horrendous gas/wind and nauseas. I've been waiting for an (urgent) appointment to see my gynaecologist since April.

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member Neither did I :( I wasted years seeing doctors that weren’t specialists and weren’t helping me, Could you request a referral via your gp to see one? X

How Can I Get Pregnant If It's Too Painful To Have Sex?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi ladies,

I stopped taking Visanne a week ago to try to get pregnant. The pain came back full swing. Everything hurts. There's no way I would even let my husband near me.

I've spoken to my doctor several times and he tells me to take an @advil. @Advil does NOT work. Nothing helps with the pain except morphine (which knocks me out) and Visanne (which I can't get pregnant on).

In desperation, I started taking Visanne again. It will take time to work again but I can't function with this pain. I… read more

Not sure what OTC pills are, but you can see if you can get stronger prescription drugs. When mine's bad I have morphine based tablets I got from my GP and it works wonders!

Still Had Pain During 5 Months Of Lupron/prostap- Doc Thinks Pain Is Not The Endo?!
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hey!

I have stage IV endometriosis, ibs and predicted interstitial cystitis.

Ive had 2 surgeries and have been on the menopausal injection for 5 months- it's just run out
The injection took the pain from a 6-7 down to around a 4-5 and was a more predictable pain level over all- I knew what I was in for all day rather then now where my pain is a roller coaster.
Because my pain didn't totally disappear my surgeon is flabbergasted and thinks my pain HAS to be something else - but ive read so… read more
