I haven't had laparoscopy yet but my doctor is putting me on Orilissa, claiming she needs to shut everything down before she can do the surgery. I am worried about the side effects but she is also putting me on Duavee which is for treating symptoms of menopause. Has anyone else found Duavee helpful during the basically induced menopause from Orilissa? (other info- I am 23 and have never undergone any endo treatment besides hormonal BC when I was a teenager)
I got my 2nd shot and am still bleeding, this week was even worse than the 1st shot...I am running out of options. My medical insurance doctor wont do surgery yet, as she wants me to do lupron or orilissa. I don't want to, as these cause bone loss and possible other issues, as well. Anyone had the same dilemma?
I'm new to this site and happy to be able to hear everyone's stories. I was diagnosed based on symptoms for Endometriosis about ten years ago. I've been on Norethindrone for 7 years and for the most part have had good luck. I have a hard time losing weight with it but no other prominent side effects. The only issue is breakthrough bleeding/periods. It used to occur only if I didn't take the pill at the EXACT same time each day (which is so hard to remember)… read more
A few questions... my daughter is 16 and has had a laser lapraoscopy which helped a little. She tried the IUD which was bad. She’s on the pill now with no period breaks. She misses high school one or two days a week. Has anyone taken Orilissa? We are in the Twin cities and the OB/GYN we tried to get into is only taking surgical candidiates and I don’t think she is one. Any help would be appreciated!!!
This question is for any and all the women on here taking Orilissa.
Its been on the market since August 2018. Im interested in reviews. Any feedback, advice or warnings to share?
I know its practically Lupron in pill form but do you think Lupron in pill form helps control the dose and allowing us ladies something we can just stop taking is better than waiting for the injection to run itself out in our system?
I try to keep up on the latest endo treatments and I have been following this drug development since 2016. I hear it is basically a pill version of Lupron but I am not sure if that is 100% true. Do you guys know if it is basically Lupron and/or have you tried it?
I was recently diagnosed after having laparoscopy 3 weeks ago to help confirm. I am now awaiting my appointment scheduled for the 17th to insert the Mirena, IUD. I am no longer able to safely use oral contraceptives due to the harm they started putting my body and hormones in. The IUD is my only option i learned but was told id possibly be a good candidate by my GYN adding in the Orilissa to alleviate my symptoms , too.
I learned about it initially working at my pharmacy. & becoming eager to know… read more
For those who have taken Orilissa, how has finishing the pill affected you? Any symptoms? Endo symptoms more than before? Thank you
