What Long-term Pain Management Medications Do You All Use Please?

What Long-term Pain Management Medications Do You All Use Please?

Are any of you on any long-term pain management medication/s? And if so, what are you taking please?

My doctor has tried me on a few but nothing's helped so far and I'm desperate to find something to help :( I'm at my wits end :(

I take codeine, cocodamol, tramadol etc when I have flare ups but I'm trying to find a long-term pain management medication/method. Any advice, help or tips would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Pain Management After Surgery

Pain Management After Surgery

I'm wondering how soon is it okay to use a heating pad after surgery?

Also, I have 10mg Percocet, but my pain is not going down. It's really bad. It's not the shoulder pain, but my belly button, stomach and vagina area. Any thing help people get the pain manageable after surgery?

Did Any Of You Experience A Lot Of Internal Pain After A Laparoscopy?

Did Any Of You Experience A Lot Of Internal Pain After A Laparoscopy?

I just had a diagnostic laparoscopy about 5 days ago. They cut out some endo on my ovaries, bladder and corners. I am still experiencing a lot of internal pain as if I'm cramping like I used to. Is this normal? Most of the YouTube videos I saw the women only complained about pain in their shoulders.

In all circumstances call your doctor. But only 5 days post op , this is normal till 3 months post op.It is the healing process

Has Anyone Tried TCM/Acupuncture For Endo & Adenomyosis?

Has Anyone Tried TCM/Acupuncture For Endo & Adenomyosis?

My Obgyn has only prescribed pain pills- Vicodin and Percocet for my pelvic pains. I'm thinking about alternative medicine. I've heard Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) can help with my Endometriosis and Adenomyosis. But I haven't heard any stories specifically linked with endo or adeno.

I have the lowest dosage and perscribe to take 1-2 pills every 4-6 hours. Mu question is, can i take another pill if it has been 3 hours? Can i take a half? I am counting down this last hour to when i can take another pill as perscribed but its killing me

Maybe talk to dr about opiates(they are not the devil everyone would have you believe) and/or Belbuca strips you put inside your cheek. Excellent pain relief from Belbuca.

A Couple Questions About A Laparoscopy...

A Couple Questions About A Laparoscopy...

Talked to a surgeon yesterday and he is gonna try and get me on the schedule. *crosses fingers that it is soon* How long do laps normally take? Is it just to look around and diagnose, or do they remove the built up tissue during it? How long are you in the hospital after? What is recovery like?

Hip And Low Back Pain Worse Than Pelvic Pain, Increased After Ovulation

Hip And Low Back Pain Worse Than Pelvic Pain, Increased After Ovulation

Does anyone ever feel the majority of your pain in your hips and lower back during a flare? I certainly have pretty severe pain in my pelvic area, and thats where it actually started, but my hips and lower back feel like there's so much pressure in them its painful to sit or lay in any position. My sacral joints are on fire. Just finished ovulating and now i basically get to have worsening pain for 2 more weeks until my period is over. My hips feel like they are going to bust apart. Is this… read more

What Can I Expect From A Pain Management Center As Opposed To An OB/GYN?

What Can I Expect From A Pain Management Center As Opposed To An OB/GYN?

My OB/GYN has been providing me with a script for Percocet to help manage my pain for a year & a 1/2. I consider myself to be a responsible user. He is retiring & not renewing his license to prescribe narcotics. Next week I have an appointment with a pain management center. What can I expect from my new Dr? I definitely have a physical dependency on the Percocet but it is the only way I find relief. I've tried anti inflammatories & multiple NSAIDS. Nothing works as well as the Percs.
