Does anyone else have this condition? I went the doctor for a follow up after being in the ER. And after talking about the latest trip to the ER. My exam I was diagnosed with Pelvic Floor Dysfunction. The doctor said it was caused by body’s reaction to the pain from my sever cramps.
The doctor said that my pelvic floor muscles are too tight. (Which I didn’t know was possible.) Because of the natural gaurding respones to pain. And the doctor perscribed me… read more
Since my first period, they’ve always been extremely heavy, lasting ~10-12 days. I remember having crippling pain just before and throughout the entirety of my period that would often have me curled up in bed or the bathroom floor, I even fainted in school a couple of times trying to tough it out. A heating pad and 4 ibuprofen every 4-6 hrs were the only things that helped manage my pain but never… read more
I am so happy I found this community. I have read so many of your posts and I wish none of you/us had to go through this, but thank you so much for sharing, it really helps!
After over a year of going between doctors, I have been diagnosed with endometriosis (as definitively diagnosed as one can be without laparoscopic surgery). Here is my timeline:
-For the last 4-5 years, my periods have been increasingly cramp-y and painful, after many years of previously pain-free periods
-I tried… read more
Hello fellow Endo ladies! It's been a rough couple of days for me. I had 3 lap surgeries in 2018 alone and now I'm about to schedule my fourth. I've been having constant nausea, been throwing up, having terrible abdominal pain, constipation, extreme fatigue, sweating and being hot all of the time, urinary hesitancy, panic attacks, and pain/blood with bowel movements. After finally getting an appointment with a… read more
Recently I ran out of pain meds for a few days. I decided to have some whiskey and as soon as I drank it, my pain was gone. Like almost 30 minutes after 2 shots. I was able to refill my prescription but every once in a while if I decide I don't want to take my pain meds I take a couple shots and for some odd reason it helps with the pain so much and I don't over do it so spare the "You don't want to turn into an alcoholic" bit. I have spoken with my doctor about it but it seems most… read more
I got a message in my portal and so far they're saying we can do a diagnostic lap with excision of endo if found along with a presacral neurectomy because I'm not ready to have a hysterectomy yet. Any thoughts, pros/cons on the presacral neurectomy??
I have been taking Visanne for 3 months and it has been amazing for the pelvic pain and bleeding. Prior to being on Visanne I had been bleeding for 2 consecutive months with no stop and was hospitalized 3 times for the pain.
I was finally referred to a gyno and she prescribed Visanne which started working immediately to my surprise and was such a relief. I was not told that this was not a birth control pill and was just told that they wanted to change my pill. I realize… read more
A month ago, my OB recommended I start Orilissa, however I have not been diagnosed yet. From this I gathered she may not be my best option considering this drug has many side effects and is normally prescribed to those already diagnosed. I'm wondering if anyone knows of any specialists in New Jersey that have gotten good reviews? Thank you!
