How Long Does It Take To Adjust To A Mirena?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I've had it 4 months. I have an appt on Thursday. My doc wanted me to wait 3-6 months to give it a chance. I'm getting more new symptoms. I'm in pain every day. I feel like my insides and expanding and stretching apart. I currently don't get prescribed any pain meds. I can get through work and that's about it.

This is kind of my last stop. I can't have estrogen based BC due to risk of stroke. I've tried every progesterone based option except the implant, which seems pointless to me since all… read more

Experience With Prometrium (progesterone)
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi All,

Wondering if anyone has had experience and/or success using Prometrium, primarily to reduce bleeding? I had a lap 3 years ago for endo, some relief for a time but symptoms increasing, and now heavy bleeding with suspected Adenomyosis. My wonderful naturopath suggest I try Prometrium (I have been using progesterone cream with no luck) but I am having difficulty getting it prescribed.

Any feedback appreciated, thank you :)

You may want to get off the provera and try natural progesterone (100-200 mg troches or Prometrium in capsules) along with estradiol. It's working for me! Reeds' Compounding Pharmacy (reedsrx.com)… read more

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have bleeding for more than 3 weeks now and there's blood clot coming out for 10days now.. My 1st ob-gyne told me to continue taking vissane and the 2nd ob-gyne told me to stop and take a combined birth control pills. Now I'm confused.. I'm painfree now because of vissane but this bleeding frustrates and worries me.

Anyone On Visanne Having Unbearable Pain?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have been on Visanne 2mg for 6 weeks. The spotting/light bleeding started 10 days after I was on the pill, and until today, the bleeding never stopped. It got a bit heavier starting at week 5: bright red blood with some small clots, but much less bleeding than a regular period. From time to time, I got cramps and I took an Advil, then I can carry on without any problem. But for the last 3-4 days, my pain is getting much much worse. At 2AM I woke up by some very sharp spasms in my tail bone… read more

I would definitely have a second opinion as visanne can actually cause cysts (or so it says in the manual). A laparoscopy would be good to at least diagnose you properly with endo. Maybe you have… read more

Fluid In Uterus & Undiagnosed Endo And/or Adeno
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm going to try to keep this brief but I have been struggling with severe pain since last September and I seem to be getting no where with my doctors.

Here is the quick back story and my symptoms
Started period at 12.5 and have had symptoms since my very first period. Most notably, I would bleed pretty much all the time, my periods would come about every 2 weeks and last for 7-10 days. I had heavy, heavy bleeding with clots and severe back pain. I would also have bowel and urinary symptoms… read more
