What’s The Most Absurd Thing Your Doctor Has Told You?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had one gynecologist tell me to my face that endo can’t grow and proceeded to look at me funny. Another told me that she could only prescribe Tylenol for my IUD placement. These make me laugh, lol

Excision Pain Meds And Recovery Time
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I know if varies for each person, but how long did you take pain medications and how long was your recovery after excision surgery? I have an excision surgery and cystectomy coming up soon, and I am getting nervous about the amount of pain meds and recovery that may be involved. Is it worth it?

EllenMunseb, yes that sounds like a lot to go through. Did your doctor do excision or just remove cysts? Just curious since I haven't heard your doctor's name before among the excision specialists.

How Do I Hide/conceal My Pain So I Can Have A Semi-‘normal’ Social Life, Especially When Dating (new People)?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I need some advice. I’m 20 and I’ve been living with endometriosis and adenomyosis for as long as I can remember. I’m at the point where I’m socializing more (or will be, once life becomes more pre-COVID like) and I don’t want to have to avoid going out or going on dates anymore because of the wretched pain that comes with every period.

I’ve tried everything but marijuana, and honestly, nothing works, prescription meds, ibuprofen, Advil, Tylenol, heating pads, warm baths, staying hydrated… read more
