Has Anyone Tried The Nerve Med Lyrica (pregabalin)? If So Did It Work For You? Side Effects?

Has Anyone Tried The Nerve Med Lyrica (pregabalin)? If So Did It Work For You? Side Effects?

My endometriosis expert wants me to try a new nerve medication called Lyrica (pregabalin). If you've tried this, did it help with your pain? My most severe pain is actually in my sacroiliac joint & the muscles & ligaments around the joint. It's specifically for nerve damage from spinal cord injuries (I have a herniated disc & either pinched or entrapped sacral nerves).

Since my flight from Hawaii to Portland for my surgery I've been having stabbing pain in my SI joint as well as spasms in my… read more

Has Anyone Used Zoloft Before?

Has Anyone Used Zoloft Before?

Just wanted to get an idea about what the effects of Zoloft are if anyone has used it before

I used it to treat my PMS -- only took it the 12 days before my period. It was generally useful. I felt foggy sometimes - the highs were lower and the lows were higher. I felt more even, but life also… read more

Did Lupron And Add Back Therapy Cause You To Be Exhausted All The Time?

Did Lupron And Add Back Therapy Cause You To Be Exhausted All The Time?

I am on my 2nd month of Lupron. I am taking norethindrone as my add back. I had the most disgusting night sweats, like changing the sheets every day, changing clothes in the middle of the night every night, my husband couldn't sleep in the bed it was so wet. The docfor put me on Prozac because some antidepressants are also good for night sweats and not flashes. The Prozac made me act very strange, so we switched to Zoloft. Mg question is, ever since I started this, I have been completely… read more

Post-op Blues?

Post-op Blues?

I'm one week post-op (endo and large endometriomas removed and appendectomy), and yesterday I was suddenly hit hard with random strong emotional waves. They're not necessarily about anything in particular, I'm just an emotional mess. I read a few places that this can happen when you've had surgery in your lady-bits region, but I didn't realize it'd be this rough. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else, and if/when it'll go away on its own. Thanks :)

I'm so unbelievably angry at times I can't control it other times I'm extremely sad or extremely happy a lot of the time these 3 emotions cam all come on the same day! I feel like I'm losing everyone due to my erratic moods I've never been like this before? Advice please :(

Night Sweats

Night Sweats

I have night sweats constantly and I assume it's from the birth control or the lack of hormones because of the birth control, does anyone know more about this? Does anyone know if changing to a different birth control may help? Or is it caused by the endo itself? I can't see why it would be but saw many others have this problem too. I hate waking up constantly sweaty then cold then sweaty. Sigh.

Has Anyone Been Super Emotional After Hysterectomy?

Has Anyone Been Super Emotional After Hysterectomy?

Before my hysterectomy is was on lupron and it made me very emotional, like cry at a commercial emotional, and since my surgery it seems to be worse. I've never been the emotional type, could it just be the change in hormones that is causing me to feel so much?

Any Suggestions For Medications With Minimal Side Effects For Post-surgery, Stage 4 Endo?

Any Suggestions For Medications With Minimal Side Effects For Post-surgery, Stage 4 Endo?

I recently had surgery to remove a large endometrioma cyst, ovary and tube. The surgeon also removed (via lap excision) endo throughout pelvic region and an attachment to bowel. Doctor is suggesting aggressive treatment to prevent it from coming back. He suggested Lupron and Letrozole, which I refused due to side effects. Mirena IUD also an option but I really don't want an IUD.

We settled on lo lo estrin, but want to do research before even starting this. I feel a non estrogen pill would have… read more

6 days ago i had a laparoscopy done with no removal of endometriosis on my fallopian tube. was wondering when i will be able to do workouts such as donkey kicks, squats, etc??

I would recommend asking your surgeon. If you start too soon, you may end up hurting your insides and creating complications long term.
