I started taking visanne 7-8 weeks ago and had a noticeable reduction in pain however my first cycle while on the medication hasnt stopped and I'm going on 4 weeks. My gyno is suggesting I tough it out since it's working to reduce pain but I'm inclined to stop if the bleeding continues. Everything I've read so far about visanne indicates your period should become lighter and maybe even disappear so I'm wondering if anyone else had this side effect and was there a way to stop the bleeding?

I've been taking Visanne for a year now and doctor has said I can stop it. How long did it take for your period to return after stopping it? And have you experienced any other symptoms? I've been off it for 2 weeks now. No period yet, but I've had breast sensitivity, increased appetite and increased libido. I would love to hear your experiences!

I haven’t had my period for 6 months now. I started taking Visanne on September 2023 and my period stopped at December 2023 as well. I just had unprotected sex this month and I am worried if it’s still possible even if I am not getting period anymore.

I have been prescribed both in the past and haven't used either as I was concerned about the side effects, especially with Aspen-Diegnogest/Visanne but my flow is out of control and I have endo in many places included bladder and rectum so that makes it worse. For those of you who have been on Visanne did you notice a change in your periods? My first one on it came late and lasted for about two weeks and this one is even later or possibly non-existent I had some cramps around the time I should have gotten it and maybe a drop. Can it stop your period altogether? My doctor never mentioned it when she prescribed it to me and it slipped my mind to ask. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I have an endometrioma on my right ovary which is now 4.6 cm. It has grown over a cm within a few months while I was on birth control. I've now been put on Visanne; took my first pill yesterday. If this doesn't work, the next step is surgery. I don't like the idea of surgery so I'm hoping that others had good experiences with Visanne in shrinking their endometrioma. Thanks in advance 😊

Hi here! I have been taking Visanne for 8 months now - so far period has been light with no pain. My ovarian cyst has also shrunk in size. I also have fibroids in my uterus.
My only concern is I still experience prolonged light period/spotting. Wondering if you have the same issue. Please share your experience. I am really anxious. Thank you.
