I continued to have constant pain after having Laproscopy in January. The pain may not be AS bad as before the surgery, but now I have new pain that I didn't have before. My doctor suggested take Lupron Depot since I was still experiencing pain. I took the 3 month dose in August and I'm still having constant pain daily. I'm scheduled to take another 3 month dose in a couple of weeks. Advise, please, ladies; should I take another shot of Lupron even though I'm still in pain??

Members strongly discouraged continuing Lupron when it isn't providing pain relief, with many sharing their own negative experiences including severe side effects, long-term health concerns, and what one member called 'Lupron brain.' Several members offered alternative approaches, including seeking out an endometriosis specialist rather than a general OB-GYN, trying the Mirena IUD which gave one member a year of relief, considering pelvic floor physical therapy, and requesting additional imaging to identify what might have been missed during the laparoscopy. A recurring theme was the importance of self-advocacy, getting second opinions when pain persists after surgery, and not continuing treatments that cause harm without benefit.

I had terrible side effects from lupron. It actually messed with my brain a ton. I call it lupron brain. It was one of the worst meds I was ever on!

I did two cycles of Lupron and it was horrible. I strongly advise against it.

I wouldn't keep taking it if it not benefiting your body and no relief whatsoever. I stopped many different birth controls , progesterone and orilissa bcuz it wasn't helping but only leaving me with other complications. Sending Prayers for you.

Did they say if you had a cyst when they did the lapro? That can also cause discomfort. I find when my endometriosis use to flair up so did my reactions to food and food allergies caused so much abdominal pain. Try to avoid *Gass producing foods for a few days see if improvements noted ✅.
