Sapulpa, OK

Has anyone ever been put in pelvic therapy for endo? My Dr has me starting it on December 7th and I was just wondering if anyone has had success with it.

I have done pelvic physical therapy, both internal and external, for interstitial cystitis, but not endo. It has been very helpful for my IC in helping to lengthen and relax pelvic floor muscles which helps with pain management.

I started therapy a month ago. It started really good since she noticed my breathing patterns were off and other things. Since, my pain has crept back and I just lay there pulling in and out. Ugh! Hope she has more exercises or methods to help me. It's worth a shot though! It's pretty much helping us to relax our pelvic floor because we've had so much trauma down there and things are very tense, which causes more pain. Do it! Choose a female and someone highly rated

I'm seeing a PT for pelvic pain and Low back pain. It helps but takes time. She Had me doing 50 Kegels daily. She attached some nodes in the area to make sure I was doing the Kegrels effectively. She gave me a test tube that I froze and use for internal massage. There are other exercises that strengthen the core which helps because all the muscles are connected and provide support to your pelvic region.

I can't speak for experience on this, however, I was currently set up for this myself and when I went into a different gyno, she actually told me that it would be less beneficial to do PT if you were going to leave the problem (endo implants) there. She is doing a hysterectomy and removing the implants by excision and then IF there are implants and tissue that is left out of reach, I might have to do a couple of lupron injections to shrink it down and then, IF there are remaining pelvic floor issues, some PT might be beneficial at that point. That made more sense to me because I feel like if they went in, that might just cause more of it to flare up. But I'm no Dr. so who knows? Either way, I hope you get some relief!
