I need to know what pain relief options are out there, as far as medicine. I'm on tramadol but I think I'm gonna try something else (side effects)

Thanks

Members shared a variety of non-narcotic pain relief options in response to someone looking to move away from tramadol, with CBD oil through a vaporizer, heating pads, Thermacare wraps, and magnesium supplements (500mg daily) emerging as popular choices for managing pain naturally. Several members recommended stronger over-the-counter options like naproxen (which many found more effective than ibuprofen, especially when paired with paracetamol) and prescription-strength Toradol, while others emphasized fish oil for inflammation, proper hydration, and Epsom salt baths for muscle relaxation. A recurring theme was the community's willingness to share practical strategies and personal experiences, offering warm support and diverse alternatives that balance effectiveness with safety.

I'm sorry to hear you're having a difficult time with managing your pain. I can suggest a few things that may be of help to you:
1) Invest in a good heating pad if you haven't already. I'm under mine whenever I'm at home. Then I use Thermacare heat wraps if I have to be out for long periods.
2) Magnesium 500mg/day. This is a natural supplement that can purchased over the counter. This is a natural muscle relaxant and works wonders for cramps. pain, and mood elevation. My mother began giving this to me as a young girl because she didn't want to give me drugs. I've used it ever since. You can also get magnesium salts or use Epsom salts to take warm baths with. This will get into your bloodstream faster and help to relax you as well. Most menstruating women are deficient in magnesium, so this will also help with overall health. It can be found in green leafy vegetables as well, so increasing those in your diet may help.
3) Fish Oil. Omega 3's are a natural anti-inflammatory and will help with decreasing pain. I would recommend getting a good one, that's sourced from wild fish.
4) You can try over the counter pain relievers like Aleve or Pamprin. I would stay away from taking a lot of Ibuprofen or Tylenol for long periods as they can cause you to have gastrointestinal and liver problems.
5) Make sure you're getting enough water intake. A good way to figure out how much water you should drink is to divide your weight by 2 & drink that amount in ounces per day. Water is essential in allowing any supplements or medications to be distributed and to move excess water out of the body.

I hope this is helpful to you & you start to feel better soon. Feel free to message me if you have any questions! BE WELL!

I get it from legalbuds.com but I just found a place locally that sells a higher mg for only 10 dollars more. But legalbuds.com is what I use now they have a bunch of fun flavors and they have the wax kind too. But yeah
