I've been dealing with the symptoms of endrometriosis for a few years and was finally officially diagnosed in October 2015. Before my diagnoses my boyfriend and I were intimate as often as we could be but since I have no desire to do anything related to sex. I can see it's taking a toll on him and it really upsets me. Any suggestions on how to cope or get some libido back?
Contraceptives do it I found. The merina and progesterone took away my sex drive. I also think mentally I felt broken and like I wasn't a proper woman which made my self esteem drop rapidly. Healthy eating has helped that alot, e.g the anti-inflammatory diet with lots of homemade juices and ginger and tumeric.
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member Yasmin is one I had issues with. Right now I am on Balziva and love it!
I had this problem after my wedding. I was on the wrong birth control. My doctor switched it up and we were back at it.
It upset my husband too. We finally had a sit down convo and once I explained why the desire was gone he understood. I had to make an effort to keep our spark alive, he was worth it to me.
Consult your doctor and find out if they have any suggestions or birth controls that may help.
I will look up for Balziva, thanks!
Hi I'm not sure if your question was aimed at me Vedrana. If it was then here is my answer :) ; I found all the contraceptives not worth taking personally as they made everything feel irregular. So now I just have to find ways to deal with the bleeding and pain. So no real win but I feel marginally better off contraceptives. I did try the regular pil, various other pills, the injection, progesterone tablets and merena. All giving me heavy constant bleeding or spotted bleeding with heavy pain, mood swings and no sex drive and. The merena really was the most traumatic though, awful spasms abd cramps, really painful sex and i felt like i had no gender. Gosh I'm sorry if I sound abit depressing. I do feel very glad to be off it all though.
