I wondered what everyone else thinks of the merina iud? I had it and then had it removed. And am curious of others opinions
Hi, I had it removed after 1 week, or so. My abdomen and my legs were sore from it. Mixed up my cycle, I was on Cilest pills before, went back to it with no breaks. I also read very bad USA reviews about it.
I had mirena for a year and a half. It was successful at suppressing my periods and I saw an improvement with my libido (ten years of being on birth control pills had almost killed it) I ended up getting it removed because my uterus was rejecting it. My dr suggested skyla because it was smaller but now I have raging periods. I wish I could have stayed on the mirena.
Mirena is an option for women with adenomyosis who are trying to avoid hysterectomy. I wouldn't recommend it for any other reason.
Part of me wonders if the IUD actually triggered my endo symptoms to get heaps worse.
In saying that, not having my period helped me cope.... I've found taking Visanne so much better.
