Hello didn’t you ever find out what happened. My chest pain is on left side only behind left breast and sometimes ribs and armpits. It’s verh distressing to not feel like I can fully breathe

Leaving this here in case anyone comes back to this thread - I've had 4x pnuemothorax on approx. the first day of my period over the last 3 months. It took me awhile to figure out what might have been going on. I didn't notice the association with my period at first and I didn't know that I might have endo. Treatment is complex. We're starting with laparoscopic surgery of the abdominal cavity b/c this is less invasive. Most often this issue starts with endo in the pelvic/abdominal region. During this surgery we'll pay special attention to the diaphragm, b/c this is often where the issue is. My doctor will examine, remove endo tissue, put in a mesh on the diaphragm and also staple or stitch closed any holes he can see. After this surgery we will use our judgment about whether I also need a surgery in the thoracic cavity to examine my lungs and the upper side of my diaphragm. The whole thing has been confusing to piece together. So hopefully, this helps someone else! I'm seeing Dr. Camran Nezhat at Stanford - one of the few doctors who knows about thoracic endometriosis.

I've had a few tests and woukd have thought they would have found the fibroids if that was the case but certainly something to ask about... I still havent had my op as drove all the way there to find I had received a letter in error and my op isn't intill 9th may!!
