I take ducolax daily (unless I'm sick or what not) to stay ahead of constipation.
At this point it sounds like it's pretty severe so you might want to try a suppository. They definitely aren't fun but you'll feel a lot of relief after!
If you have surgery again I'd definitely suggest doing a bowel cleanse or prep before to avoid the constipation. My first surgery I got really constipated as well and it hurt to even sit on the toilet from the incisions so it just made everything worse. Preparing beforehand is the best way!
Try probiotics
I also took dulcolax and senokat (sp?) That helps. Try a fiber gummy supplements
I had to drink magnesium citrate to relieve my horrible constipation from pain meds after laparoscopic surgery. My doc said colase would work but it didn't at all. After the magnesium citrate unblocked me I had to use a simulate laxative up to three times daily to keep regular while I took the pain meds. Be well!
