Hi everyone...
My doctor is around 99% sure i have endometriosis ive had all the pains and symptoms for years im having surgery on the 27th (time is crawling by!) For him to go in and see just whats going on in there and to try and help me.... Just wondering has anyone else had this surgery and how did it go for you? How was recovery? Did you have to stay over night? And did it help with your pain and symptoms at all...
I had them go in and have a look around, it was good because they finally diagnosed me for definite. On downside, my pain has got worse and it took me a good couple of weeks to recover fully. Like I said thou, was great cause now I know and am waiting for the surgery for it to be removed :) all the best! Hope it goes okay for you X
I stayed in a nighy and need a week to recover as I had an oopherectomy. It was OK as I've had 3 c sections in yhe past which were much more painful and lengthy to recover from. I think it does depend on what they do in there. Good luck x
Hi, I also went in for lopo to check if I have endo, I stayed for 3 nights, due to the severity of the endo, needed help for 2 weeks before I could walk properly. good luck, if all goes well, u should be out by the same day....
I've had 4 surgeries for endo. Recovery can depend on all that they do. I've had easy recoveries and tougher ones. Symptoms do not dictate the stage. Some people have stage 4 and no symptoms or vice versa. And different parts of your body can have different stages. I have never had to stay overnite. Just get a lot of rest afterwards. If u have had an appendectomy and a c-section, this shouldn't be difficult for u. Get gas-x for the nasty gas pain. And take the stool softners if the pain meds constipated you.
Thank you for your response, i really appreciate it. Ive had my appendix removed and a c section before but they were emergencies so this waiting is driving me crazy haha! They were also 5-6 years sgo..
The doctor said its a 70% chance that this will help me thats definitely better chance then not doing it at all.. i hope your surgery goes well in August :)
