I have this and am being sent for an mri to check for endo on the bowel. I'm interested in everyone else's experiences of constipation related to your cycle, and if it usually indicates endo on the bowel. Thanks
I have constipation right before my cycle and then the opposite the day I start with constipation flowing during my cycle. I have endometriosis on my bowels that my gyno did not remove. I am really wishing I would have seen a endometriosis specialist for my surgery.
prior to going on Lurpon (5 months ago) i had a lot of bowel symptoms at ovulation time and period time. the constipation is a lot better now, through diet (Low Fod Map), careful hydration, and yoga (gentle seated poses). i do periodically get a bit stuck, but then i take magnesium lax (a few sips) and that usually works for me overnight and then i feel a lot better the next day. it's tricky, through Rare, i've read women can have endo cause a bowel obstruction. @A MyEndometriosisTeam Member im glad you're getting an MRI done. please report back to us :)
I don't have periods anymore, not for a long time due to endo. I am having constipation problems & am taking a pill form Meta Mucil it's over the counter & it seems to help me a lot. I also have been eating a lot of fruit like grapes & cantaloupe mixed together. I hope things get better for you.
Hi there, I have it on my bowel but don't have issues with constipation, but I do have painful bowel motions esp during my period. My specialist often refers to my bowel as a 'windy' one. I suffer from (what feels like) constant bloatedness and pains when trying to pass gas etc.
I have this and they thought endo was on my bowel turned out it was on my ligaments and near to my bowel so they could remove it, it's a nasty symptom!
