Hello!

I have always had bad pain in my tummy, struggle with constipation and diarrhoea however I am on the contraceptive pill continuously for years (period pain far too bad without it).

This bowel pain feels just like period pain though! The poisonous period pain feeling down my legs etc, actually period type pain with bowel movements and also when i can't go!

Can you get period pain even when taking the pill continuously? In your bowels? I was told I have a spot on my bowel that can't be… read more

Wow, sorry to hear that, was it infiltrating the bowel wall? How are you doing now?

I had endo all over my bowels, my vagina, my rectum, my uereters, my bladder, my appendix, my gallbladder. My bowels were the worst. They had adhered to my abdominal wall and each other. Extremely painful. Despite extensive excisions my bowels are not even close to normal and the pain is so bad that it radiates down my legs if I do too much. I have had my ovaries, uterus, appendix, and gallbladder removed. I also had to have bladder re-implantation surgery to remove a portion of my right ureter because it was blocked off from scar tissue from endo. I wish I had some advice for you but know that endo can be anywhere and the bowel symptoms are very hard. I have been eating clean (only organic and very little processed) for four years now and it helps some but it is no magic bullet for those of us who have had such extensive damage. My best to you!!!! Stay strong!

I have exactly the same pains. I was diagnosed with ibs before endometriosis but maybe thinking ibs was misdiagnosed or is symptoms of endometriosis. Just been back to doctors today and they seem to think the inflammation in my bowels could be endometriosis waiting on results for mri scan and then hopefully will be booked in for laparoscopy. I currently have been advised codeine for the pain and to try to stop stools being so loose but it shouldn't make me anymore constipated on an evening then I can be. Back to trying to readjust diet and exercise again too to see if it helps xx
