I have the Mirena now also and while it hasn't stopped the pain in my lower left side it has made it bearable! I will never go back to anything else after trying 4 different types of the pill over 6 years. Ocella did work well but my doctor took me off of it due to the increasing news of it causing strokes. People will tell you it hurts so bad to get the Mirena put in but that pain was nothing compared to what I was feeling on a daily basis

I dont tolerate most bc pills either. I have never done an iud and do not plan on ever having one either. I did do the progesterone pill. I had success for a few months. I had no pain no periods. About 4 months into taking it i had to have surgery to remove a large endometrioma and some endo as well. No one ever told me i had to take that pill at the same time everyday.

I've tried both kinds of pill with a variety of brands and it did nothing to stop endo growth or stop pain. I tried progesterone pill and at first it was fine but you have to be very exact with the time you take it. I ended up bleeding non stop and had to come off it. I use a Mirena now which was recommended by my endo specialist and often stops your period after 6 months. I've found this really good and it has lessened the severity of the pain.
