I was diagnosed with endometriosis 2 months ago. I just saw a specialist 2 days ago and he ordered more pelvic ultrasounds which I had done today. But he also wants to put me on junel fe birth control to try to help ease the symptoms. I'm not a fan of taking birth control. I did years ago but it just didn't do well with my body. I've been in so much pain the last 48 hours I can't even think straight. He said for sure I'll have to have surgery soon. But he's wants the birth control in my system… read more

My personal experience with birth control is that it did nothing to help with pain and did nothing to stop endo growth. One type gives me non stop headaches and the other type makes me bleed constantly.
Hope everything goes well for your surgery. :)

Birth control helped in the very beginning. But i would still get cysts. So dr would keep switching pills. Nothing worked. Then i was on the pill where u get 3 periods a year, well i started developing uterine fibroids on that. Each pill started giving me different side effects. Most of them made me puke. So i stopped taking them.

Olá, como vc está hoje? Conseguiu mudar o hormônio?, comecei com o Cerazette e estou passando muito mal apenas duas 9 dias, estou pensando em desistir.

cerazette was/is brilliant for my ongoing pelvic pain and has really helped my bowel pain too, but the side effects are pretty much outweighing it atm..migraines, hair loss, bad skin and mental health all over the place. Currently deciding whether to continue with it or try a different one, going without just isn't an option :(

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member thank you, I am really torn between if I should take them or not, either way he wants me to get the surgery. I just feel so unsure about taking them. I guess I know my body better than anyone and I know how I react to bc, even though what I have taken in the past is a not the same one as he wants me to take. I am just still so overwhelmed with this all. Thank you for taking the time to respond. :)
