Should I Tell My Doctor About My Endo Diagnosis?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I went to a Herbalist today to inquire about my periods in hope that somebody could give me an answer, I gave her just a few of the long list of symptoms haha and straight away she told me to consider Endometriosis
I was gobsmacked, no one has ever put all of my symptoms together like that, I've always thought I had it but for her to confirm it without me even hinting was like a weight has been lifted

I would say you could ask, but primarily diagnosis is through surgery from my understanding. If what the Herbalist provided helps, then go with that for now. It may also be time to search for a new DR who listens. I just got diagnosed this year at 27, and misdiagnosed or told I did not have a problem since I was about 16. Best of Luck!

Try the app flutter for keeping a diary it's designed to take and show your doctor and you can detail all symptoms x

Based on what I've been told, the only sure way to diagnose endo is by laparoscopy and then after wards you're still going to be treating the symptoms. It's frustrating to not be validated, but maybe you do need someone who will listen to your concerns rather than dismiss you outright.
