Has Anyone Had Pain Come Back Very Shortly After A Laparoscopy?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had Laparoscopy surgery 6 weeks ago. They lysed a lot of adhesions that were on the bowel. I was feeling fine but the last week I am experiencing pain again. I have been told that they will come back but I was wondering if anyone has experienced this?

I had a laporascopic surgery on November 24th 2015 and the pain was so intense after surgery. I went thru my max. Amount of pain meds halfway thru the day and it wasn't helping. I ended up going into the ER on the 27th because the pain was continuing to get worse, they ran tests and come to find out I was bleeding internally. If you're still in pain Tuesday evening go into urgent care or the ER.

My pain also came back. I had that happen all my life. It could be adhesions forming cause I just had some removed this last Aug. Thank God so far I am ok in that area. I would not think it would come back that soon but I would talk to your dr. about it. Best of luck to you.

Yes! I had returning pain / symptoms shortly after. Felt like the surgery had not been successful at all

This has happened to me time and time again...5 surgeries within the past two years to be exact. After each surgery, I would have approximately 2 weeks without any pain, but then it would hit me like a ton of bricks. The doctors say my body is more prone to adhesions than others, and because of this, I'm scheduled for a total hysterectomy next week. I'm only 18, so the decision to remove both of my ovaries and uterus was not an easy one. However, my quality of life has been nothing short of terrible. I've been confined to a bed, while my friends continue on with their normal high school lives. It's sad, but everything will change in a week ;)
