I had the marina fitted in July after my first surgery. I had irregular spotting and bleeding since then. seems to be getting less now, with longer times in between bleeding. Defiantly less pain and flow is really light in comparison to having this coil fitted. I previously had the copper coil though and before then on the pill I never had any problems with flow or pain. It was only until the copper coil that i seemed to experience all the symtom's of endo then got diagnosed a year later. The marina differs from person to person though I expect. Im still hoping my periods will stop. Its all a waiting game! Hope it helps you! x

I have the mirena and the first cycle was massive bleeding and now i don't have any periods at all and i'm going on three years with it! Just go to your local clinic every few months to make sure the iud stays in place.
