in my first surgery my left ovary was attached to the bowel with a type of like "webbing" tissue that they sometimes find in endo. they were able to detach it, but I have lesions on my bowel in a few places and also liver that they left there bc my gyne was not comfortable operating on bowel or liver. Now about 1.5 years later pain is back horrendously and I am going back in for another lap. This time i asked that a general surgeon be there to remove the bowel lesions and the liver lesions. IMO, If they had just done it all the first time I may not be having this relapse now. I think you should push to have another lap sooner rather than later and have them remove all they can and set things back to rights. otherwise it's just prolonging the inevitable and potentially leaving in very painful endo.

Sorry to hear you are having a rough time 😞

When I had my first diagnostic laparoscopy they found my uterus and bowel were fused together and I had further surgery to detach them. The damage to my bowel was quite severe so they 'shaved' (sorry TMI!) the bowel to remove as much endo as they could, but it didn't really help.

What you need to do is keep an eye on the pain/symptoms and get straight on with getting your bowel and uterus detached. I had really bad pressure pain 'up' my bottom & so much pain when passing a bowel movement while on my period. Could hardly stand and had a 'shooting' pain straight up inside when ever I sat down. It was horrible.

I went for a long period with this most agonising pain whenever I had a bowel movement and finally, after much chasing and pestering ,had a colonoscopy where they found that I had a large blockage due to scarring from the endo. My case was quite extreme and I ended up having to have 60cms of my lower bowel removed, which resulted in a temporary ileostomy and stoma, it was a very difficult time, but everything bowel wise is now fixed.

You need to keep on at your surgeon to get more surgery to unattach everything.

Thank you for all your responses they have been very helpful. I have my post surgery review in the beginning of July so hoping to get more info then. Does having you uterus fused to bowel affect conceiving and carry a child? Tubes are clear and only one ovary affected by endo.

Agreed. My surgeon went in expecting it to not be too advanced. He was wrong. Part of what he found was what you have. If your surgeon did not make any further comments on that...what in the world? Clearly it is a problem for you. So I would ask him further about it to see what his thoughts are. If he doesn't suggest surgery to fix the problem go to another provider. That is something that needs to be dealt with.

Find a specialist they can separate them. Ive had organs fused together and my dr excised thr endo and was able to separate them. Endo is like a giant spiderweb
