I have been in this situation recently. It is a difficult decision and one that is clouded by excruciating pain.

I have been to A&E a couple of years ago and ended up being admitted to a gynae ward (pre-diagnosis) and they eventually after 5 nights performed a laparoscopy which confirmed endometriosis - they removed it there and fitted the mirena coil. This was nearly 3 years ago now.

I find that once you have a diagnosis they tend to just lean towards controlling the pain if you are already under the gynae team. But if you are in agony and nothing is helping then they would certainly relieve the pain which gives you temporary rest from it. Sometimes it could also be something that comes alongside endo such as cysts, fibroids etc. If this is the case endo or not it needs further investigation so I say any agonising pain that doesn't go away and can't be controlled with your own pain killers is more than a certain case to present to A&E with.

The only thing I will say is that if you feel certain the pain is typical endo that may go off in a few hours/days then I would really try to get adequate pain relief for home as they will always carry out an internal examination in A&E which I find only creates more pain and discomfort. That being said they may also try to speed up the process for you to get treatment so there are pro's and con's!

Either way you know your own body and if you feel you can't tolerate the pain I would definitely go to A & E or at least a walk in centre.

It might also be worth calling the surgeons secretary and asking to be put on the cancellation list to get you seen quicker.
