Hi Ladies,

Quick question, I've been on a few different contraceptive pills over the years and after my Lap this year my surgeon put me on Visanne.

Hi,

I was on Visanne for a year and experienced severe depression in the beginning, it lasted some time and naturally went away. I reckon it is individual but I hope it gets better for you as well!

I have been on Visanne for three years. I have sufferered from mental illness and depression before I began Visanne most likely triggered due to the numerous operations, pain, suffering, and loss of a normal life from stage four endometriosis. Once my endometriosis symptoms abated, my depression also disappeared. However I still take 10mg Lexapro a day.

Chronic pain as well as hormonal changes from drugs can cause depression and suicidal thoughts. I hope it gets better for you too.
