I will be doing my 2nd round of IVF in a few weeks. In my first round, I had 23 eggs retrieved and 8 fertilized into good quality embryos. After a fresh transfer, I had an ovarian ectopic pregnancy and they had to remove my right ovary in the surgery to remove the pregnancy. They also found stage 4 Endometriosis (I knew I had it, just not that bad) and I went on to have laparoscopic surgery shortly after. Yes the era test is different. Same process but not sure that one tests for proteins. I had one successful pregnany with fresh egg transfer

JackieMarie, let us know how the consultation with the fertility clinic goes! I have another second opinion scheduled next month so I'm hoping to gain more insight on lupron and if it will actually benefit me. I'll share that info as well.

I had always refused lupron. And one of my gynes told me the best decision i could make was to refuse lupron. My ivf dr recommended it. I finally caved and agreed. She wanted me to do 3 months but i couldnt handle the side effects after the 1st month, so i told her no more. She switched me to letrozole, i only lasted a week on that. I have done micro dose lupron during ivf cycles, which is a small dose during cycle, but that gives me migraines so i have to take toradol during those shots. Lupron is a nasty nasty drug. Think long amd hard before deciding to take it.
My dr wanted me to do lupron to shut down my system so i could regenerate the protein needed to aid in implantation. I did one month, the side effects were brutal.
