I will be doing my 2nd round of IVF in a few weeks. In my first round, I had 23 eggs retrieved and 8 fertilized into good quality embryos. After a fresh transfer, I had an ovarian ectopic pregnancy and they had to remove my right ovary in the surgery to remove the pregnancy. Yes the era test is different. Same process but not sure that one tests for proteins. I had one successful pregnany with fresh egg transfer

JackieMarie, let us know how the consultation with the fertility clinic goes! I have another second opinion scheduled next month so I'm hoping to gain more insight on lupron and if it will actually benefit me. I'll share that info as well.

I had always refused lupron. And one of my gynes told me the best decision i could make was to refuse lupron. My ivf dr recommended it. I finally caved and agreed. She wanted me to do 3 months but i couldnt handle the side effects after the 1st month, so i told her no more. She switched me to letrozole, i only lasted a week on that. I have done micro dose lupron during ivf cycles, which is a small dose during cycle, but that gives me migraines so i have to take toradol during those shots. Lupron is a nasty nasty drug. Think long amd hard before deciding to take it.
My dr wanted me to do lupron to shut down my system so i could regenerate the protein needed to aid in implantation. I did one month, the side effects were brutal.
