I have such a hard time laying down because my lower back feels strained kinda like im still 9 months pregnant. I was reading about pelvic muscles being closely related to abdominal muscles. Is endo causing me to have a weak core due to strained pelvic muscles/floor?

Yes that would make sense. I can feel my core strength diminishing as my belly grows :(

I totally need to strengthen my core, there is no doubt! I used to do pilates as well, but lost all ab muscles with pregnancies. I just wonder if everything is getting tugged and pulled with endo and it makes other muscles weak or over compensated. My stomach just pulls on my lower back soooooo hard. It feels like i still have a baby in there! But yes being out of shape and over weight does not help at all :/

Hm this is an interesting question. My pelvic floor physiotherapist told me my pelvic floor muscles were very tight and so we work on relaxing them when I see her. She’s never mentioned any connection to my abdominal muscles tho... but I also practice pilates once a week and have for years so my core is fairly strong. You could try strengthening your core to see if it helps it’s very beneficial for us.
