Im currently on month 10. Lupron is the only thing that has ever worked to control the horrible pain i have endured. That being said, the relief comes at a cost of gaining weight, low libido, and fatigue due to the lupron. However my quality of life is much more significant now even with those side effects. For me, ill take no pain and being able to live my life finally over the side effects I have to deal with (which ive been given medication for to help with now)

My friend with stage 4 endo and my primary doctor's nurse who has endo both say to forgo lupron- that the side effects are horrible. They describe it as all the symptoms of menopause plus the same or worse endo symptoms - simultaneously. My doctor recommended it, but thankfully insurance denied it - that was before I heard the horror stories. Wish I had better things to share. Best wishes with your treatment path.
