@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member...First, LOVE the Jelly Belly car!

I read your story. I'm sorry you've been through so much, yet continue to suffer. You have been through not only the HELL of cancer, but its twin endo, IMO.

Excision performed by a vetted endo surgeon (list on NN) is the "gold standard". Don't let the average GYN perform surgery, as they can do more harm than good. Who knows...but if you've not had endo excised from the roots...it's still there. If you see a vetted specialist, you won't have to "convince" him/her that it's not in your head.

I certainly understand the fear of even more surgery. I would at least request a records review from a specialist. If you decide against surgery, then PM will be your only option. Some manage with naturopathic, including significant diet modifications. Others take prescribed meds for pain.

I eat clean 80/20, take prescribed Diclofenac and swim laps daily. I am vigilant with my water intake. Hydration is essential to keep urine flowing and bowels moving. I work full time and keep my "down time" busy with home projects and community service.

Most dr.s send you to pain management. They don't want to get involved in the opioid epidemic . As far as these specialist are concerned I am reading that a lot of women are still having problems even with the good dr.s so I am getting Leary myself wondering if I should do surgery or not.
