Sharp Pain Left Ovarian Area?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Whenever I stretch or move certain ways I getba sharp pain in towards where my left ovary is. I was diagnosed with Endo, and I know fibroids and cysts are a part of that. Is that what this pain is? I feel like I have flare ups that last a few days or more rather than constant every day pain. Thanks!

It could also be adhesions. Adhesions go hand-in-hand with endo. And it could most definitely be cysts.

Have you had a pelvic and TV ultrasound?

If you have adhesions as I had, sometimes moving a certain way causes an inner organ that’s adhered to another to pull and that gives pain. I had my right ovary and part of my bowel attached to my uterus, and it was generally causing discomfort but more so depending how I lay or moved.

Same as Dawn. My ovary is stuck to my womb and I suspect my bladder is stuck to something as well. As everytime I stretch or move that bit too fast it feels like my insides are trying to get out.

yes, the fibroids and cysts are part of endo and yes it causes u the pain. i always have a flare up in my right ovary and when it ruptures there is sharp paralyzing pain. i try to take midol when that happens but sometimes u just need stronger meds from the doctor. a heating pad can become ur best friend. my best advice is dont do anything strenuous because thats one of the reasons a flare up can happen. be careful with picking up things , twisting and turning. i hope u find relief soon.
